Thoughts and Reflections

I kind of laugh as I start to write this blog, because I know what Adam is going to say...why do you put all that mushy stuff on there? (Let him just wait until I do the blog of our recent anniversary and how much HE means to me!!) Pregnancy hormones? But whatever the reason, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my kids. With one 17 month old and another just weeks or days from being born, I can't help but think about what I want for them...my dreams...desires as a mom to help them grow...and although there is so much more, the song "Help You Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris really says it well:

If you have not heard it, I recommend downloading it and listening. If you tend to be emotional like me, grab a box of tissues first. This is one of the many songs that my mom has "given" me. This is something that she has done for years...always with a song that makes me cry from the first cord. And my mother-in-law seems to do the same thing...between the two I can't get through any kind of event without them playing me a song that makes me sob. (A few of the songs that I've been "given": I Hope You Dance, Cinderella, In My Arms, Never Be One Again,...) If they don't stop I won't be able to turn on the radio anymore! :)

This song really reminds me that I can have many dreams for my kids, but really, I want God to fill them with HIS dreams...I want them to walk in HIS truth...
